FLI's licensed asbestos project monitors provide compliance oversight and air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects, ensuring engineering controls are in place and proper work practices are followed. Background air samples are collected and can be analyzed on-site, documenting airborne fiber levels. Post-abatement visual clearance of work areas and final air sample collection and analysis is also provided prior to job completion and removal of engineering controls.
FLI's team of licensed and EPA-AHERA accredited asbestos inspectors perform asbestos inspections prior to renovation or demolition projects. Materials which are suspected to contain asbestos are identified, sampled and analyzed at a certified laboratory. A detailed summary report is provided detailing the type, quantity and location of all materials determined to contain asbestos.
FLI's licensed management planners develop detailed asbestos operations and maintenance plans for managing identified asbestos materials. The plan includes an inventory of all identified asbestos containing materials; recommended response actions for each asbestos containing material; required signs and labeling of areas containing asbestos; emergency response procedures; protocol for periodic surveillance; and training requirements for employees and outside contractors.
FLI's Licensed Asbestos Project Designers provide detailed specifications for the abatement of identified asbestos materials, including non-traditional work plans required under certain circumstances by MassDEP. Each design is site specific and includes details regarding contractor submittals, engineering controls, work practices, monitoring and clearance requirements, and any contract documents or bid form that may be necessary.
